Full Details:

My name is August Wooldridge, and I’ve spent most of my adult life in situations where training either holds up or people get hurt.

I’m a licensed practical nurse, first responder, and CPR/First Aid instructor with more than two decades of hands-on experience across emergency services, critical care, home health, long-term care, and leadership roles. I’ve worked with ventilator-dependent patients, managed complex wounds, responded to emergencies in the field, and supervised nursing teams responsible for patient safety every day.

That background matters because CPR and First Aid aren’t academic skills. They’re practical, time-sensitive actions that need to work under stress.

As an instructor, I focus on clear instruction, realistic scenarios, and confidence, not just checking boxes for a card. Whether I’m teaching healthcare professionals, workplace teams, parents, or community members, my goal is the same: make sure you leave knowing what to do when it actually counts.

I’ve held roles ranging from critical care nurse to assistant director of nursing, and I continue to work clinically. That means the training I provide is grounded in current guidelines, real patient outcomes, and real emergencies, not theory or outdated habits.

If you’re looking for an instructor who understands both the medicine and the moment, you’re in the right place.

HOW THIS IS DIFFERENT

Most Classes Teach Steps - I Teach Decision-Making

Most CPR classes teach you what to do in perfect conditions - Emergencies aren’t perfect.

I’ve worked arrests where the room was controlled and ones where it wasn’t. Training matters most in the second kind. That’s why my classes emphasize:
• Priorities, not memorization
• What actually matters in the first seconds
• How to stay functional under stress
• Why the guidelines are written the way they are

You won’t leave reciting steps - You’ll leave understanding what matters when time is short.

________

WHO THIS TRAINING IS FOR

Healthcare Professionals & First Responders

Efficient, realistic instruction from someone who understands your environment. No filler. No wasted time. Skills taught in context.

Workplaces & Organizations

Clear, practical training that prepares employees to act instead of freeze. Ideal for compliance that actually protects people.

Parents & Community Members

Straightforward instruction without being talked down to. You’ll understand what to do and why, even if you’ve never touched medical equipment before.

THIS TRAINING IS NOT FOR

This training is not for people who:
• Just want the fastest card possible
• Don’t care whether they’d remember the skills under pressure
• Want to be entertained instead of prepared

If that’s what you’re looking for, there are plenty of other options.
