Classes and descriptions: American Heart Association classes offered
AHA BLS HEALTHCARE PROVIDER ~ $100
Required for most healthcare providers. This course teaches 2-person rescue, checking for a pulse, team dynamics, and how to use a bag valve mask. This course covers adult, child, and infant CPR/AED and does NOT include first aid. This class is approximately 2 hours long.
HEARTSAVER CPR/AED ~ $100
Covers CPR And AED usage-no first aid. Teaches non-medical personnel to safely and effectively perform CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking for adults, children, and infants. It covers high-quality CPR, AED usage, and opioid-associated emergencies, with options for in-person or blended learning, resulting in a 2-year certification This course takes approximately 3.5 hours and covers adults, children, and infants.
HEARTSAVER K-12 FIRST AID
The Heartsaver for K-12 Schools course completion card was created to provide a cost-effective Heartsaver course completion card for K-12 school systems. K-12 cards may be issued for all Heartsaver courses taught in elementary, middle, junior high, and high schools. This card may be issued to the schools’ students, faculty, and staff.
This course covers Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED, Heartsaver CPR AED, or Heartsaver First Aid Course which includes topics such as First aid basics, Medical emergencies, Injury emergencies, Environmental emergencies, Preventing illness and injury, Adult CPR and AED use, Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies and optional modules in Child CPR AED and Infant CPR. Heartsaver Basic or Total First Aid/CPR/AED ~ $120
Heartsaver Total is a comprehensive, OSHA-compliant certification, making it ideal for workplace requirements. Heartsaver Basic is a more flexible, shorter, and less comprehensive option that generally does not meet regulatory requirements. Total covers all necessary topics for compliance, while Basic is designed for general, non-regulated training. This course is approximately 4-5 hours long and covers all components including first aid.
Heartsaver Pediatric first aid/CPR/AED ~ $120
You will learn how to respond to common childhood illnesses and injuries—such as bleeding, burns, allergic reactions, breathing problems, and more—along with serious conditions like shock, seizures, head or spinal injuries, and drowning response and prevention. This class is mandatory for foster and adoptive parents! This course is specific to pediatrics and lasts approximately 4-5 hours.
Heartsaver First aid only ~ $60
This course covers First aid only and is approximately 2 hours long. Heartsaver First Aid teaches the lifesaving skills of first aid including:
Friends and family ~ $60
The Family & Friends CPR Course teaches the lifesaving skills of adult Hands-Only CPR, adult CPR with breaths, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR, and mild and severe airway block for adults, children, and infants. Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment using the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible.
This is only a participation class! You will not receive an AHA card. This covers CPR and AED only. Participation card given in class.
Blood Borne Pathogens ~ $60
The Heartsaver Blood-borne Pathogens course teaches students how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials.
This course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for blood-borne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction.
This class has 2 options---BLS Instructor or Heartsaver Instructor
Candidate must be approved by Training center administrator
The candidate must provide proof of completion of instructor essentials training. Candidate will be aware of startup costs for required materials
Once all criteria are met, the candidate will be monitored by training site administrator (myself) or training center administrator teaching a class.
